  • Provide technical guidance, advice and support to project counterparts to effectively implement activities across a broad range of service delivery areas including;-
  • Quality improvement along RH continuum of care Preconception care services

  • Source and disseminate RH related Information, Education and Communication (IEC) materials

  • Promote cervical cancer screening and linkage to cryotherapy treatment and other treatment options

  • Promote high impact and locally appropriate interventions, such as preconception care, cervical cancer screening, youth friendly services, and reproductive health counselling

  • Promote screening and management of Sexually Transmitted Infections (STIs) including HIV in the RH service delivery point

  • Promote integration of services in the different services delivery points e.g. RH into HIV/TB clinic

  • Prepare health facilities to provide quality services on RH

  • Promote the development of health workers and management staff capacity in the above areas through a broad range of approaches such as curriculum
  • Development and training, one-on-one mentorship and on-the-job training, supportive supervision, etc.
  • Take measures to support the operationalization of Mercy USA’s guidance in maternal health and the reproductive health toolkit
  • Act as focal point for RH in the region, provide technical support to the country operations and partners to improve all aspects of reproductive health and HIV services
  • Introduce/enforce standardized protocols for selected areas (such as syndromic case management of STIs, referral of obstetric emergencies, clinical response to survivors of sexual violence, counselling etc.).
  • Monitor all reproductive health indicators in the region and provide feedback to countries on improving quality of data collection as well as programming.

  • Support analysis of maternal death audits in the region along with the Public Health Expert identifying gaps in maternal health programming and making recommendations to address these gaps and supporting their implementation



  • Degree in Health Sciences such as Nutrition, Public Health, Nursing or another technical relevant discipline
